Kia expands user car network to 100 outlets in India

The used car market has seen significant growth in India especially post the Covid19 pandemic when masses started to prefer personal mobility for their daily commuter instead of shared mobility solutions. This resulted in many auto manufacturers to venture into preowned car and twowheeler businesses in the last 45 years.

Kia was one of the OEMs to join the list of user car verticals that was launched during the period. The South Korean carmaker has marked a new milestone in its preowned cars vertical business. The company has inaugurated its 100th Kia Certified PreOwned (CPO) outlet, making it one of the fastest OEMs in India to develop a 100outlet strong, preowned vehicle network.

This feat was achieved in three years. The company’s CPO network now spans over 70 cities and represents nearly 60% of Kia India’s total retail footprint, underscoring the surge in demand for certified, highquality preowned vehicles among consumers.

Speaking on this achievement, Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, said, “Crossing the mark of 100 outlets milestone for our Certified PreOwned network within three years in India is a strong testament to the trust customers place in the Kia brand. In this short span of time, our CPO business has transformed into a strategic growth driver — powered by exceptional quality, reliability and trust.”

Kia PreOwned cars quality checks

Kia India’s Certified PreOwned (CPO) vehicles undergo a rigorous 175point inspection to ensure they meet the brand’s strict quality standards. Only vehicles with less than 1,00,000 km on the odometer, a clean structural record, and compliance with Kia’s eligibility criteria receive certification. Each car is refurbished using genuine Kia parts and comes with verified ownership and service history, offering buyers superior transparency and peace of mind.

Beyond certified vehicle sales, Kia’s CPO outlets provide a wide array of services, including the purchase, sale, and exchange of preowned cars from all brands. The entire process is fully digital, supported by Kia’s industryleading evaluation app that delivers fair, fast, and transparent assessments. Customers benefit from a smooth and secure exchange experience, complete with instant payments, hasslefree ownership transfers, and competitive, customized finance options.
