Kristin Cabot, the Chief People Officer at Astronomer, has resigned from her position after her viral video clip with the US Tech company's CEO at a Coldplay concert.

Cabot is no longer with the company and has resigned, the firm told the BBC in a statement.

Her resignation comes after the company's former CEO, Andy Byron, left last week after the company announced that he would be placed on leave and investigated.

During a Coldplay concert in Boston, Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot were caught on a big screen embracing at the arena before they abruptly ducked and hid.

As they seemingly panicked and tried to hide their faces in full public view, Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin said to the crowd: "Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy."

The video, which has now become a social media sensation, showed the pair swaying to music at the concert before trying to hide, gaining millions of views. The video was shared on multiple platforms and was soon the fodder for internet memes, while television programmes also made fun of the video.

Among internet sleuths attempting to identify the pair, hoax statements surfaced about the incident. Astronomer issued a statement announcing an investigation into the matter, without specifying the video, and added that its CEO would be placed on leave.

Later, the company announced Byron's resignation.

Pete DeJoy, co-founder and chief product officer at Astronomer, which deals with data, analytics, and artificial intelligence, was announced as the interim CEO by the company.

After taking the reins, DeJoy said: "The events of the past few days have received a level of media attention that few companies - let alone startups in our small corner of the data and AI world - ever encounter."

He noted that the company became a "household" name almost overnight and would continue on its path forward, and "commitment to building something great".
