According to The StarTai and his wife, model Tatiana Lin, are currently based in Taiwan. Appearing on a Taiwanese variety show with Lin, Tai said: “I’m trying to save money, but she’s busy spending it.”
“I manage the finances myself—from groceries to baby formula, diapers, and baby food,” he added. “But she’s unwilling to communicate about it.”
Tai added that Lin also spends NT$10,000 each month on coffee. Still, he admitted that despite his frustrations, he ultimately paid the electricity bill.
Lin, who is currently pregnant with their second child, defended her use of the air conditioning, citing Taiwan’s intense summer heat.
“What do you expect me to do? Not turn on the air conditioner? We have a child at home too!” she responded.
She also criticized Tai’s penny-pinching approach to budgeting.
“He calculates everything—this diaper is NT$5 and that one NT$6. Why waste time? Just grab whatever. I’ll buy whichever one I like,” she said.
Tai countered that her preferred diaper brand cost NT$15—three times the price of his choice. Lin argued that the higher cost was justified, claiming the more expensive brand was gentler on their baby’s sensitive skin.
At 39, Tai remains active in Taiwan’s entertainment scene as an actor and TV host. He married Lin in 2023.
