News India Live, Digital Desk: Big Danger Coming from the Sea: The National Disaster Warning Center has released a serious ‘red alert’ for 12 coastal districts of the country from today to Monday, which is a sign of a major threat from the sea. This warning is for residents of coastal areas where the situation is likely to remain severe for the next few days. During this period, the position of the sea can be extremely dangerous and marine activities are being completely banned.
According to the information received, the height of sea waves can be much higher than normal due to special conditions and hurricanes (if applicable) or highly active monsoon systems, and there is a possibility of heavy rains with strong winds in the coastal areas. This may pose a threat to life in lower coastal areas, waterlogging, erosion on the coast and fishermen. This is particularly worrying for areas with populated areas where rescue operations can be challenging.
Red alert means immediate action is required. The local administration has advised people living in these 12 districts to be vigilant and especially away from the sea shore. Fishermen have been given strict instructions not to go into the sea and those who are already in the sea have been asked to return to the coast. Relief and rescue teams have also been placed on high alert to respond immediately in any emergency.
This danger is not only for the next 72 hours, but the situation after that is also being monitored. The respective state governments and the Disaster Management Authorities of the Central Government are monitoring the situation together and taking all the necessary steps. Coastal cities and villages have also been advised to be ready for power cuts, communication obstacles and traffic disruption. This is an important challenge that requires the cooperation and activism of the community.
