War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of the year. Reportedly, it is the most expensive YRF Spy Universe movie with a budget of Rs. 400 crore. According to a report, Hrithik has been paid Rs. 50 crore, and he has a profit-sharing deal with the makers. Meanwhile, Jr NTR has received a hefty cheque of Rs. 70 crore.

The trailer of War 2 was released on Friday, July 25, 2025, and it received a mixed response from the audience. The movie stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, and even though the trailer is strictly decent, it has created a very good pre-release buzz. Now, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, War 2 is the most expensive YRF Spy Universe movie.

A source told the portal that Ayan Mukerji's directorial is made on a budget of Rs. 400 crore, and this does not include the marketing budget. Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3 was made on a budget of Rs. 350 crore, and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan's budget was Rs. 325 crore.

War 2 Actors' Fees

The portal has also reported that while Jr NTR got Rs. 70 crore to star in the film, Hrithik took Rs. 50 crore, and he has a profit-sharing deal with the makers. The female lead, Kiara Advani, got Rs. 15 crore, and Anil Kapoor, who plays a pivotal role in War 2, has been given Rs. 10 crore. However, we didn't get a glimpse of the veteran actor in the trailer.

Meanwhile, Ayan has reportedly been paid Rs. 30 crore for directing the movie. The source added, "The remaining Rs. 220 crores have been invested in mounting the film at an unimaginable scale. The visuals of War 2 will take the audience on an unforgettable ride.”

War 2 Release Date

War 2 is slated to release on August 14, 2025. While the trailer has received mixed responses, let's hope that the film turns out to be good. Also, fans are expecting to see the songs of the movie, especially the dance off between Hrithik and Jr NTR.
