
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A shocking case of murder over a love affair was reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam district, where an 18-year-old youth was killed by his girlfriend’s father. The victim had gone to meet his girlfriend at 12 in the night, when her father caught him.
According to information, the body of the boy was found early Saturday morning in front of a temple near the accused's house in Mewasa village, under Namli police station area.
The boy was identified as Ayush, a resident of Kandarwasa village, and a Class 12 student.
His death has created tension in the village, prompting police to deploy heavy security at the scene.
The police reached the spot around 4 am after receiving information and sent the body for post-mortem. A case of murder has been registered, and one person has been taken into custody.

According to Ayush's elder brother Anil, a girl had called Ayush and asked him to come over. When he reached there, the girl’s family allegedly tied him up, shaved his head, and beat him badly, leading to his death. The family did not know when Ayush had left the house.
Police investigations revealed that Ayush had gone to meet the girl around midnight on Friday. Her father saw them together and got furious. He then tied Ayush to a post and beat him with sticks, which reportedly caused his death.
Initially, the accused tried to mislead the police by claiming that Ayush was a buffalo thief. However, after strict interrogation, the girl’s father confessed to the crime.
Further investigations are ongoing.
