Scooters have grown popular in India, thanks to Honda for starting a revolution with the Activa. Soon, other manufacturers followed and realised that scooters account for a large chunk of sales, and in such a popular segment, some have even tried and failed.
In a market dominated by motorcycle sales, the Honda Activa has grown so popular that most still refer to these scooters as just Activa rather than their original name. That said, here are the top five bestselling scooters in June 2025.
Five bestselling scooters in June 2025
The scooter sales in June 2025 were led by none other than the Honda Activa, which has seen many Gs over the years and has finally become just ‘Activa’. In June 2025, Honda sold 1.83 lakh units, but despite that, it saw a massive 21 percent decline in sales compared to June 2024.
The Honda Activa is followed by the TVS Jupiter in second, having sold 1.07 lakh units last month, and witnessing almost 50 percent growth compared to June last year. This is primarily owing to the massive design update that the TVS Jupiter saw recently, moving away from the contemporary styling.
Next comes the Suzuki Access, which is the best seller for the Japanese company. Suzuki registered sales of 51,555 units in June 2025 compared to selling 52,192 units in June 2024, witnessing a marginal decline in sales. The Access is also available as an electric scooter, similar to its Japanese competition, Honda, with the electric Activa.
Rounding up the fourth and fifth places are two scooters aimed at the youth — Honda Dio and TVS Ntorq. The Honda Dio sold 24,278 units last month, while the Ntorq registered sales of 22,822 units last month. Both scooters have registered a YoY decline in sales.
