According to the agency report, the incident took place around 1 pm on Friday night. The woman was going towards Ulve with her car. Instead of going from the bridge towards Belapur, he caught the way down with the help of Google Maps. She quickly fell into the gap of Dhruv Tara Jetty.
Belapur police officer Narayan Palampalla said that the police team along with sea security guards immediately reached the spot as soon as the incident was received. He was then rescued safely with the help of a boat. This case of people going wrong and accident due to Google Maps is not new. Even before this, many accidents have come to light due to Google Maps. Last year, a car fell down from the bridge under construction, following the instructions of Google Maps, killing three people.
