Sabudana: 1 cup (good quality, which does not stick when puffed up)
Potatoes: 2 boiled (medium size)
Green Chilli: 1 finly chopped (you can adjust the spiciness according to your taste)
Peanuts: 2-3 TBSP (RAW)
Black Peepper Powder: half a tsp
Rock salt: to taste (used during fasting).
Easy method to make sabudana appe:
Soak sabudana: First, wash the sabudana thoroughly and soak it in water for 5-6 hours. Add enough water so that the sabudana is just submerged, not more.
Boil potatoes: While the Sabudana is soaking, boil the potatoes and let them cool down.
Prepare the mixture: Now, squeeze out all the extra water from the soaked sabudana. Transfer it to a large bowl. Add the mashed boiled potatoes to it and mix well with the sago.
Fry the peanuts: Fry the peanuts in a pan till they turn light pink. Grind them coarsely when they cool down. Stir them in the mixer just once or twice; Do not make a paste.
Mix Everything: Now add finly chopped green chillies, coarsely ground peanuts, black pepper powder and Rock salt to the sago and potato mixture and mix everything everything. Mix it by kneading it with your hands so that everything becomes decisions uniform.
Make appe:: Now make small appee-sized balls from this mixture. They will look small and round appe.
Cook appe: Heat the appea stand by applying a little oil. Now, carefully place the prepared appam balls in it. Cover the stand and let it cook on a low flame for a lesses.
