Changes in rules: Like every month, many financial rules are going to change in August 2025, which can affect the common man’s pocket. Credit cards, LPG prices may change the rules, while many changes to UPI are also going to happen. These 6 changes can put a burden on your pocket and affect your budget. Let’s know which rules are changing from next month.
First: Credit card change
If you are an SBI card holder, you may get a big shock, as SBI is going to shut down the free air accident insurance cover on several co-branded credit cards from August 11. Till now, SBI was giving a cover of Rs 1 crore or Rs 50 lakh on some elite and prime cards in collaboration with UCO Bank, Central Bank, PSB, Karur Vaishya Bank, Allahabad Bank.
Second: Changes in LPG prices
Like every month, the price of LPG or commercial cylinders may change this month. On 1 July, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder was changed and it was reduced to Rs 60 cheaper. The price of commercial cylinders has been changed several times, but the price of LPG cylinder has not changed yet. In such a situation, the price of LPG is expected to decrease from August 1.
Third: These UPI rules are changing
From August 1, many new rules to UPI will be implemented. If you regularly use Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay or any other third-party payment platform, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has changed several rules to reduce pressure on you and provide better payment facilities. NPCI has implemented some new boundaries, which will not have any effect on your payments, but have imposed boundaries on the balance check, status refreshing and other things.
- Now you will be able to check your balance only 50 times a day with your UPI app.
- Now you will be able to check the bank accounts connected to the mobile number only 25 times a day.
Netflix or mutual fund installments such as autope transactions can now be processed in only 3 times. Before 10 in the morning, from 1 pm to 5 pm and after 9.30 pm, now you will be able to check the status of failed transactions only 3 times a day, there will be a gap of 90 seconds between each investigation.
Fourth: CNG, PNG prices change
It is often seen that oil companies also change the prices of CNG and PNG every month, but there has been no change from April. The last change in the prices of CNG-PNG took place on 9 April. At that time, CNG in Mumbai was Rs 79.50 per kg and PNG was Rs 49 per unit. This was the fourth increase in six months.
Fifth: Bank holiday
The Reserve Bank of India publishes the list of banks’ holidays every month. The RBI directs to keep banks closed on festivals and other important dates, except weekends. However, these holidays may fall on different dates at different places.
Sixth: ATF prices
The prices of air turbine fuel (ATF) may also change from 1 August, as oil marketing companies change the prices of air turbine fuel (ATF) not only in the prices of LPG (LPG) on the first day of the month. Its prices fluctuations directly affect the ticket prices of the passengers.
