This weekend, Leeds United have submitted a €32m bid to sign Feyenoord winger Igor Paixão (25), according to The team. A deal is now close.
Paixão has been a target for Olympique de Marseille throughout the summer. OM have been in the market for a replacement for Luis Henrique, who joined Inter Milan at the start of the summer. And whilst OM have agreed personal terms with the Feyenoord winger, and also have the player’s preference, according to MARKET Foot, they are yet to strike an agreement with the Eredivisie side.
Phocaeans have made two bids, the second worth €28m. However, that falls short of Leeds’ €32m bid submitted this weekend. An agreement between the Premier League side and Feyenoord is now close, The team understands. It remains to be seen whether Marseille can rival the offer from the Yorkshire club. The player, currently injured, is recovering in his native Brazil.
