The Haryana government has taken a big and necessary step for ration card holders, which is going to make their lives easier. Now it has been made mandatory for all the ration card holders of the state to get their E-KYC done. The Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has issued strict orders in this regard. The aim of this step is that the facility of ration reaches the right and needy people, without any rigging.

E-KYC facility at ration depot

The department has given clear instructions to all the ration depots to ensure the e-KYC of every beneficiary associated with the Public Distribution System (PDS). For this, biometric devices have been installed at the ration depot, through which people can easily do their E-KYC. But many times it becomes difficult for all family members to reach the depot, especially in villages or for those who live in far-flung areas.

E-KYC’s new route sitting at home

Realizing this problem of the people, the Haryana government has now found a great solution. Those who have difficulty in going to the ration depot, they can now E-KYC from their home via mobile phone. Yes, now you do not need to stand in long lines or visit the depot again and again.

‘My e-KYC’ app starts

The Food Department has launched a special mobile app named ‘My E-Kyc’ to make this process easier. Through this app, people can complete their E-KYC very easily with the help of face authentication. Just you have to download the app, and verify your identity by following some easy steps. This facility will prove to be a boon, especially for the elderly and those who have trouble going to the depot again and again.

This step will bring transparency

The government says that this new step can make the ration distribution system more transparent and reliable. Through the E-KYC, it will be ensured that ration only reaches the entitlements and no wrong person can take advantage of it. This initiative will not only save time, but will also reduce the disturbances in ration distribution.
