- Tour Dal – 1 cup
- Fenugreek leaves – 2 cups (cleaning and washed)
- Onion – 1 (chopped)
- Tomato – 1 (chopped)
- Hing – 1 pinch
- Cumin – 1 tsp
- Mustard – 1 tsp
- Turmeric – 1 tsp
- Red Tip – 1 Tipun (Otherwise)
- Ginger-garlic paste-1 tsp
- Salt – To taste
- Ghee/oil – 2 tablespoons
- Water – 1 »(or whatever)

Action
- For this, first wash rice and pulses and soak in water for at least 5 minutes.
- Heat ghee/oil in a cooker and add mustard, cumin seeds and hinges to it.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and chopped onion to it.
- Now add chopped fenugreek leaves and tomatoes and mix for 2-3 minutes.
- Then add turmeric powder, chili powder and salt and stir well.
- Now add soaked rice and dal and return for 2-3 minutes.
- Then add water and cover the cooker and cook until 3 whistles.
- When the cooker cools, open the lid, stir the khichi with a hot pickle, papad or yogurt.
- If the bitter taste of fenugreek is reduced, add a little salt and then wash the leaves.
- You can also add finely chopped vegetables to the coconut.
