Saiyaara Has Now Made More Money In 9 Days Than Akshay Kumar's Biggest All-Time Grosser

Yash Raj Films’ romantic musical drama Saiyaara starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda continues to be the top choice of moviegoers at the box office in India.

The film directed by Mohit Suri ended its first week with a staggering Rs 175 crore and started week two with a massive bang earning Rs 18.50 crore on day eight and an unprecedented Rs 27 crore on day nine.

This took the film’s 9-day box office to Rs 220.75 crore.

Saiyaara Beats Akshay Kumar’s Top All-Time Grosser In Just 9 Days

Saiyaara has now created an interesting box office record as it took down superstar Akshay Kumar’s top grosser of all-time in just nine days.

The biggest all-time domestic grosser of Akshay Kumar’s career is Good Newwz which made Rs 205.14 crore in its lifetime run back in 2019-2020.

As for Saiyaara, the film made around Rs 30-32 crore on its day 10 i.e. second Sunday and its 10-day total now stands at around Rs 252 crore.

At the worldwide box office, Saiyaara has made over Rs 400 crore and is now heading towards Rs 600 crore global finish.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Fails To Beat Superman In Opening Weekend

The new superhero release of the week, The Fantastic Four: First Steps opened to positive reviews and has collected well in its opening weekend but it wasn’t enough to beat the rival DCU’s Superman which released two weeks earlier.

While Superman collected $125 million domestically in its opening weekend, the early estimates suggest a $118 million opening for The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

At the global box office, The Fantastic Four: First Steps made $218 million as Superman’s $222 million

In India, the film made around Rs 22 crore in its opening weekend.

Indian Animated Film Mahavatar Narsimha Witnesses 400% Jump

The new Indian release of the week, the animated film Mahavatar Narsimha directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced by Hombale Films created history by witnessing a massive 400% jump in its biz on day three.

The animated film made Rs 1.35 crore on day one, Rs 3.25 crore on day two and an outstanding (estimated) Rs 6.75 crore on day three taking its opening weekend box office to Rs 11.25 crore.

Mahavatar Narsimha is now already the highest grossing animated film in Hindi and may turn out to be a blockbuster in Hindi.
