Ranbir Kapoor is all set to play Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s ₹4000 crore mega-project "Ramayana", with Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Touted as the most expensive Indian film ever, the first part of this epic is already in post-production.
However, a section of fans has expressed a desire to see Ashutosh Rana, who will appear in "War 2", portraying the role of Shri Ram instead of Ranbir. Reacting to this, Rana recently addressed their sentiments in an interview with Bollywood Bubble.
“Destiny Brings You the Right Role”: Ashutosh Rana RespondsRana, known for his intense screen presence, responded humbly:
Currently Playing Ravan on Stage“What’s written in your destiny comes to you. If you wait with patience, the result will come. In our play 'Ram Naam', I’m playing Ravana — the one Ram thinks of constantly. But Ram never thinks of himself, and that’s what makes him divine.”
Rana is playing Ravana in the theatrical play "Humare Ram", which explores the Ramayana from a unique angle, focusing on the stories of Luv and Kush. His powerful performance has sparked curiosity about how he would have portrayed Lord Ram.
Upcoming Film: War 2Ashutosh Rana will next be seen in "War 2", the high-octane spy thriller starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Yash Raj Films, releasing on August 14.
While Ranbir remains the chosen Shri Ram for the big screen, fan buzz around Rana's depth and screen gravitas suggests his portrayal would also have been deeply compelling.
