Manchester, July 29: Team India vice-captain and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has shared an update after being ruled out of the final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
Pant took to X to thank fans for their support. He said their wishes gave him strength.
“I will start rehab once the fracture heals. I’m following routines and staying patient. I’ll give my 100%,” he wrote.
“Playing for India is the proudest moment of my life. Can’t wait to be back.”
Pant got injured on Day 1 of the fourth Test in Manchester. He was batting on 37 when he tried a reverse sweep off Chris Woakes. The ball hit his foot, and he collapsed in pain.
He was taken off the field on a golf cart. Scans later showed a fracture in his right foot. Doctors say he will need at least six weeks to recover.
Pant will miss the final match, but fans hope to see him back soon.
