Liverpool Agree Personal Terms With Alexander Isak:- Liverpool has agreed to personal terms with Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak and will now approach his current club with an opening bid for the striker.
The Swedish player was bought by the Magpies for a record transfer fee of over 60 million euros in 2022. Over the past three seasons, he has had an excellent time in England. Isak has scored 62 and assisted 11 goals in 109 appearances for the club, even scoring over 20 goals in the Premier League in both of the last two seasons.

And so, it came as a shock to many when, ahead of the pre-season tour in Singapore, the 25-year-old handed in his transfer request to Newcastle manager Eddie Howe. This demand for a move away from St. James’ Park came at a time when several big clubs were vying for a signature from Isak, with English club Liverpool and Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal being front-runners.
During the ongoing pre-season tour, Newcastle United manager Howe confirmed that the Swedish striker will not be returning to the team. When questioned about Alexander Isak linking up with the team in the following days, the former Bournemouth manager said, “No, no chance.”
And now, Isak has come to personal terms with the Merseyside club. The opening bid, which will likely come within the next 24 hours, will reportedly be worth 100 million euros. However, Newcastle believes that their star striker is worth about 150 million. Liverpool believes that it can drive this price down to 120 million.

Liverpool has made some massive moves this summer despite comprehensively winning the Premier League last season. Several big-name players worth big money have been brought in, as the likes of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, and Hugo Ekitiké have been signed, among others, as over 300 million euros have been spent on new talent.
However, the Arne Slot-managed club champions have also let go of a lot of big names. Firstly, Trent Alexander-Arnold left for the minuscule price of 10 million. And now, the strike duo of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez are almost out of the door. Combine that with the untimely and unfortunate pasting of Diogo Jota, and Liverpool is in dire need of attacking talent.
The defending champions will spend about 200 million euros on the striker duo of Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitiké. That is, if the Isak transfer goes through.
