

New Delhi: Delhi Residents will only have the chance to see the City’s natural beauty from the Sky. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is launching hot air balloon services in the capital for the first time. This New Initiative Aims to Promote Eco-Tourism, Offer People New Entertainment Options, and give a fresh look to Delhi’s green spaces.
The project was started with the help of Lieutenant Governor vk saxena. Hot Air Balloon Flights will start at the Yamuna Sports Complex, Commonwealth Games Sports Complex, and Asita and Baansera Park, All Located Along the Yamuna River.
Project to Operate for 3 years
A Private Company has been chosen for the project and will operate it for the first three years. This period could be extended up to nine years. The company will get 3600 Square Meters of Space at the Site to Set Up Operations.
Balloon flights will begin within two months. Each flight will last about four hours and can be longer if needed. The tickets will be priced after approval from the DDA. All Ticket Sales Money will go directly into the DDA account, making the process clear and straightforward.
The DDA has made several efforts to improve the Yamuna River in recent years. Asita, which used to face problems with illegal Occupation, is now a nice green area. Baansera, once a site where waste was dumped, has become a special theme park with 30,000 bamboo trees, three water areas, and a musical fountain.
The new use of sports complexes, the Yamuna Sports Complex, is the biggest sports area in Delhi, located in Surajmal Vihar. The Commonwealth Games Sports Complex Was Built for the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Now, these complexes are being developed as places for recreation and eco-tourism.
