Ingredients
- Mushrooms – 200 grams (washed and sliced)
- Green peas – 1 cup (frozen or fresh)
- Onion – 2 medium (finely chopped)
- Tomatoes – 2 medium (make puree)
- Garlic – 5 to 6 cloves
- Ginger – 1 inch piece
- Green chilli – 1 finely chopped
- Cashews – 8 to 10
- Cream – 2 tablespoons
- Oil/butter – 2 tablespoons
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric, coriander powder, red chilli, garam masala – according to taste
- salt to taste
- Kasuri methi – 1 tsp
- Green coriander – for garnish
How to make Mushroom Matar Masala – Know the Step by Step Recipe

First of all, grind ginger, garlic, green chillies and cashews by adding some water.
Step 2:
Now heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and then onion and fry it well.
Step 3:
Now add the prepared cashew paste to it and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes. After this, add tomato puree, turmeric, coriander powder, red chilli and salt and fry it well.
Step 4:
When the gravy starts leaving oil, add chopped mushrooms, peas and some water to it. Now cover it and cook for 8-10 minutes.
Step 5:
After this, add cream, garam masala and kasuri methi and mix well. Now turn off the gas and serve by adding green coriander on top.
Serving Tips
- You can serve it with tandoori roti, naan, or jeera rice.
- If you want, you can also keep onion rings and lemon pickle with it. This will enhance the taste even more.
