Preparations for the launch of Starlink internet service in India are now in the final stages. According to a report by Press Trust of India (PTI), Starlink may soon launch its satellite broadband service in India, and now there is clarity on its price, speed, and availability.

Monthly Expenses and Internet Speed

Indian customers will have to spend around Rs 3,000 per month for Starlink's service. Talking about internet speed, it is likely to be between 25 Mbps and 220 Mbps. This service is being brought especially for rural and remote areas, where traditional broadband networks are either not available or their quality is very poor.

The network will be limited to 20 lakh users.

Partnership with Jio and Airtel
Starlink's hardware kit, which will include a dish and a router, will be distributed in partnership with Indian telecom companies Jio and Airtel. SpaceX has entered into infrastructure-sharing agreements with these companies to implement the service smoothly.

Prices and pre-orders

Monthly subscription fee: Between Rs 3,000 and Rs 4,200 (depending on location and usage).

Expected price of hardware kit: Around Rs 33,000.
Pre-orders may start soon, with consumers paying an upfront amount.
