News India Live, Digital Desk: Test Retirement: Since the announcement of retirement from Test cricket by Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma, there has been a debate in the cricket world whether he took this decision on his own or was pressurized to do so. Sunil Subramaniam, former manager and former selector of Team India, has broken his silence on this matter. They have rejected all the speculation that Rohit was being forced to retire. Sunil Subramaniam clearly stated that Rohit Sharma is a stronger player and no one can force him to retire. According to him, Rohit has taken this decision completely himself. Subramaniam emphasized that no player is forced to retire in Indian cricket, and the player who performs on the field remains in the team. He said that Rohit decided to retire at the stage of his career where he felt that he was time to move forward, especially to manage his workload. Subramaniam also mentioned that Rohit had made his Test debut long and he successfully drew his Test career, which is commendable. This statement of Subramaniam puts an end to all the rumors in which any pressure or controversy was being talked about about Rohit’s retirement. He clarified that this was Rohit Sharma’s own personal and thoughtful decision.
