We often think how fresh and nutritious they will be by seeing gleaming and red apples in the market. But do you know that many times the color and glow of these apples is just pretending? Actually, some traders use dangerous chemicals to cook apples quickly and make them attractive, which can cause serious harm to your health.

Consuming such chemical fruits can accumulate toxins in the body, which can affect liver, kidney and even hormonal balance. The good thing is that you can identify fake apples ripened with chemical in some easy and smart ways sitting at home.

1. Be cautious with excessive glow

If the apple has an abnormal glow on the skin, it can be a sign of wax or chemical polish. The brightness of the real apple is slightly mad and a light natural layer appears on it. Food safety experts say that naturally ripe apples may have mild muddy or small spots, which do not appear in chemical apples.

2. Light scraper with nails

If the apple surface descends a transparent layer or feels lubricated when scraper from the nail, then understand that it can be a layer of wax or a chemical.

3. Do tests by putting it in water

Put the apple in water for some time. If the chemical is found in it, then the color of the water will change lightly or the oily layer will start floating on the surface. The real apples will not show any such change.

4. Catch the truth with smell

Natural apples have a mild sweet fragrance, while the chemical does not cause artificial or any smell from cooked apples. No chemical fruit gives the nose a feeling of freshness.

5. The color after the cut will also tell the truth

When you cut the apple, the real apple starts to become brown in some time. This is due to oxidation. But if the apple remains white and shiny for a long time after cutting, it may have been treated with chemicals.

6. Do not save for long time, gleaming apples

Apples that keep shining in the same way without rotten for weeks, chemical preservatives may have been added to them. It is better that you buy from small shopkeepers or farmers, where fruits are more natural.
