Greed made a killer
In the police investigation, it was found that Kamlesh had seen his bank balance on Omprakash Khobar's mobile screen during online payment. Just from here, a dangerous plan of murder was prepared in his mind.
88 -year -old Omprakash Khobar had been a big officer in the Income Tax Department in Delhi and Gujarat. He lived alone in the Lotus Villa apartment in Jaipur. On the night of 25 July, the police received the news of the dead body found in his flat. When the police arrived, Omprakash's body was lying on the bed. There were scratch marks on the throat and their mobile was missing. The next day the death was confirmed by strangling the postmortem. The body was handed over to the family.
Daughter filed a murder case
Omprakash's daughter Sushma filed a case of murder. Police investigated the call details (CDR) of the mobile and intensified the investigation. On the same day, online transaction of three lakh rupees was received in Kamlesh Kumar Sharma's account from Omprakash's bank account. It was from here that all the doubt went on Kamlesh.
The black truth of the vegetable
Kamlesh, who used to set up a vegetable shop in front of the apartment, kept lying again and again in the police interrogation. But when the police put the proof of bank transaction, mobile location and CCTV footage in front, it broke. He confessed that when Omprakash used to come to buy vegetables, he used to pay online. One day he saw a bank balance on his screen and got lured.
Kamlesh made a secret video and found out the UPI PIN of Omprakash. At 9:15 am on 25 July, when Omprakash came to collect vegetables, Kamlesh entered the apartment behind him. On reaching the flat, he strangled him to death and escaped with a mobile. He transferred three lakh rupees from the same mobile.
Maid made noise
In the evening, when domestic maid Radha Devi reached work, she saw Omprakash's body on the bed and screamed. The people of the society gathered. The body was laid on the floor. As the news of the murder spread, Kamlesh also reached the spot and started doing small work to show himself innocent.
Police caught a trap and caught
Police said that Kamlesh kept trying to become innocent even after the murder. But bank records, technical investigations and CCTV footage exposed it. Eventually, he spleted all the truth.
Omprakash was in Jaipur for 14 years
Omprakash Khobar was living in Jaipur for the last 14 years. His daughter Sushma said that he had settled here due to the increasing pollution of Delhi. Recently, he returned from Delhi on 9 July and was saying that he would go to Delhi again by the end of the month. But this painful accident happened before that.
