1 August New Rule: Reduced LPG cylinder prices… Increase in air travel prices, 5 major changes have come into force from 1 August 2025

Rule change from 1 August: As soon as August starts, many such nine have come into force. Those who will directly affect digital payment, banking benefits, cost of fuel and domestic budget. New rules for UPI users

The National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has offered some measures to make UPI payment fast and more reliable.
  • Balance check limit: Now you can see your account balance only 50 times a day on apps like Google Pay or PhonePe.
  • Auto-pay changes: Automatic payments for SIP, OTT subscription and EMI will be processed only during non-distress hours (before 10 am, 1 pm to 5 pm and 9:30 pm).
  • Linked account scenes: limited to 25 times a day.
  • Felted Transaction Status: With a gap of 90 seconds, only three times a day can be checked.
  • Payment Return Request: Limited to 10 chargebacks per month, per trader or person maximum 5.

Change for SBI Credit Card holder

SBI has discontinued Complimentary Air Accident Insurance on premium cards like Elite and Prime. Earlier these cards used to provide coverage ranging from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore. Steps of this benefit is a shock for travelers who depended on free insurance protection.

Oil marketing companies giving relief to restraers, hotels and catering businesses LPG cylinder prices have reduced by Rs 33.50.
  • Delhi: Rs 1,631.50
  • Kolkata: Rs 1,734.50
  • Mumbai: Rs 1,582.50
  • Chennai: Rs 1,789.00
There has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders.

4. Atf Increase in prices of air – air travel will be expensive

The aviation turbine fuel prices have increased by Rs 2,677.88 per kiloliter for the second consecutive month.
  • Delhi: 92,021.93 rupees
  • Kolkata: Rs 95,164.90
  • Mumbai: Rs 86,077.14
  • Chennai: Rs 95,512.26
This increase is expected to increase air fares in the coming weeks.

RBI policy meeting this week
