NIA’s big action in Suhas Shetty murder, raids 18 locations in Karnataka

Nia raid: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) took major action on Saturday in the murder case of Bajrang Dal activist Suhas Shetty. The Central Investigation Agency raided 18 locations in various districts of Karnataka.

In May this year, accused Abdul Safwan and others attacked Bajrang Dal activist Suhas Shetty in Bajpe area of Mangaluru city. The accused brutally murdered him with deadly weapons. The purpose of this murder was to spread terror in the society.

Digdhon’s houses searched

The NIA took the matter from the local police in June. In this sequence, the Central Investigation Agency searched the houses of 12 persons and various suspects arrested in the case. In the raids conducted in Mangaluru, Chikkamagaluru and Hassan districts, many digital equipment and other objectionable documents including 11 mobile phones, 13 SIM cards and 8 memory cards were seized. The NIA is investigating the conspiracy behind the murder.

Suhas Shetty was a worker of Bajrang Dal

Suhas Shetty was a worker of Bajrang Dal and was the main accused in the murder of Mohammad Fazil, a resident of Surathkal. Shetty and her associates allegedly killed Fazil in a public place on July 28, 2022 to avenge the murder of BJP youth activist Praveen Kumar Neetta.

Murder during ‘hijab’ dispute

BJP worker Nettaru was murdered during the ‘hijab’ controversy. After his murder, there were several incidents of murders and knives to take revenge in Karnataka.

Explain that BJP MP Captain Brijesh Chauta had appealed to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to transfer the matter to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for the Suhas Shetty murder case. At the same time, BJP state president BY Vijayendra had announced a compensation of Rs 25 lakh to Suhas Shetty’s family.

On May 1, some people who came riding in two vehicles, stopped the path of Shetty, who were going into the car with their friends. He then strangled Shetty to death. A total of 11 people have been arrested in this case so far.
