‘Special Guest’ in Oval Test between India-England: Rohit Sharma Present

London : Former India Test captain Rohit Sharma visited the Oval to encourage Men in Blue on the fifth and third day of the final Test against England in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared pictures of Rohit Sharma’s presence at the Oval. BCCI wrote on X, “Special guest at Kennington Oval.” Hitman, who retired from Test cricket in May this year, came to the ground after the game started on Saturday.

Rohit, 38, represented India in 67 Tests and scored 4,301 runs at an average of 40.57 with 12 centuries and 18 half -centuries. Rohit’s best performance was seen in 2019 with an innings of 212 runs in the domestic series against South Africa. He was the 16th highest run -scorer for India in Test cricket. He started his Test career in 2013 by playing a memorable innings of 177 runs against the West Indies at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

In 40 Test matches in the history of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC), he has scored 2,716 runs at an average of 41.15, including nine centuries and eight half -centuries. He is India’s highest run -scorer and century scorers in the history of the World Test Championship, and is ranked 10th among the highest run -scorer.

He led India in the final of the World Test Championship against Australia in 2023, which ended with defeat. Overall, he led India in 24 Tests, including 12, nine loses and three draws. The percentage of his victory in this format is exactly 50 percent. Talking about the fifth Test, young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal’s extraordinary innings of 118 runs gave India an edge after the end of the second season in the fifth and final Test of Anderson Tendulkar Trophy 2025, which is being played at Kennington Oval in London on Saturday.

On the third day of the Oval Test, Team India score 304/6 till the third day of the Oval Test, Ravindra Jadeja and Dhruv are unbeaten at the crease. After the end of the session, Shubman Gill -led team was ahead by 281 runs.

The visiting team started the second season from 189/4, with Jaiswal (85*) and Gill (11*) unbeaten at the crease.
