This station underwent a complete change under the Station Modernization Mission by Indian Railways providing many world-class facilities to passengers that include: A spacious concourse area and a modern waiting lounge An environmentally conscious building powered by solar energy. High-tech security systems with CCTV surveillance 24-hours a day. Food courts and other branded retail outlets to enhance the travel experience.
