LPG Price Cut: The price of a commercial cylinder in Delhi has now come down to Rs 1,631.50, which was earlier Rs 1,665. That is, there has been a reduction of Rs 34 in the capital.

LPG cylinder prices: Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have announced a cut in the prices of LPG cylinders from August 1. The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs 33.50. The new rates have come into effect from August 2, which has brought relief to hotel, restaurant and small business consumers.

At the same time, no change has been made in the prices of domestic gas cylinders, and a 14.2 kg cylinder is still available in Delhi for Rs 853.
 

New rates of commercial gas cylinders in different cities of the country

In Delhi, the price of a commercial cylinder has now come down to Rs 1,631.50, which was earlier Rs 1,665. That is, there has been a reduction of Rs 34 in the capital.

Talking about Mumbai, the new price of a commercial cylinder here has become Rs 1,582.50, whereas in July it was Rs 1,616. That is, there is a relief of Rs 33.50 here. The price of a domestic cylinder remains at Rs 852.50.

In Kolkata, now a commercial cylinder will be available for Rs 1,734, which was earlier Rs 1,769. That is, there has been a reduction of Rs 35 here. For domestic consumers, the cylinder is still available here for Rs 879.

In Chennai too, the price of a commercial cylinder has increased to Rs 1,790 from August 1, whereas in July it was Rs 1,823.50. Here, too, there is a relief of Rs 33.50. The rate of a domestic cylinder in Chennai is Rs 868.50.

No change in the price of domestic LPG cylinder

However, domestic consumers have not got any relief this time either. The prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders have remained stable since April 2025, when their price was increased by Rs 50. Currently, it is available in Delhi for Rs 853, in Kolkata for Rs 879, in Mumbai for Rs 852.50 and in Chennai for Rs 868.50.

Due to the reduction in the rates of commercial gas cylinders, the gas used in restaurants and dhabas has become slightly cheaper, due to which can be expected that there will be some relief in the prices of food items as well.
