According to Cook, most of the iPhones sold in the US in the last quarter were manufactured in India. Talking to analysts after Apple’s Quotorly result on 31 July, Cook said that India has now become a hub of iPhone production for the US market. Whereas, the focus of manufacturing in China is outside the US. Cook told the analysts, ‘It is the same in the context of the Country of Origin that I mentioned in the last quarter. There is no change in it. That is, the country of origin of most iPhones sold in America is India.

Cook further said that Vietnam has become the primary manufacturing base of American demand for other Apple products like MacBook, iPad and Apple Watch. At the same time, most of the products for international markets are coming from China.
Apple expects record growth in India
It is clear from Tim Cook that Apple is fully focusing not only in India, but also as a growing market. Cook said that Apple expects record revenue growth in India, especially from iPhone sales. According to Cook, India is one of more than two dozen countries where Apple has achieved record level revenue in the June quarter.
Trump objected to iPhone manufacturing in India
Donald Trump does not like the iPhone manufacturing in India for American users. During his visit to Doha in May this year, Trump said, ‘I had some trouble with Tim Cook. I told him, my friend, I am treating you very well, but now I am hearing that you are manufacturing all over India. I do not want you to manufacture iPhone in India. ‘
