Priyanka Gandhi Target SC: During the hearing, the country's Supreme Court questioned Rahul Gandhi in a very harsh tone. He was asked how he came to know that China had occupied India's land.

The monsoon session is going on in Parliament. The entire opposition, including the Congress, is attacking the Modi government on many issues. Meanwhile, on Tuesday (August 5, 2025), a statement has come from Congress General Secretary and MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra regarding the Supreme Court's comment. 

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi reacted to the Supreme Court's comment on the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha and said, "With all due respect to the honourable judges, I want to say that they do not decide who is a true Indian. It is the job of the Leader of the Opposition; it is his duty to ask questions to challenge the government." 

Priyanka Gandhi, MP from Wayanad Lok Sabha seat of Kerala, said that my brother (Rahul Gandhi) will never say anything against the army. He respects the army a lot. Therefore, this is a wrong interpretation.

What is the whole matter?

The Supreme Court had heard Rahul Gandhi's statements (December 9, 2022) regarding the clash between the armies of India and China. The lower court had issued summons in this case. Along with this, Rahul Gandhi had also filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding other pending cases. 

'Why do they write all this on social media?'

During the hearing, the country's Supreme Court questioned Rahul Gandhi in a very harsh tone. He was asked how he come to know that China has occupied Indian land. Why did you make such a statement without any proof? If you are a true Indian, you will not say such things. The court also asked Rahul to raise such issues in Parliament and asked why do they write all this on social media?
