
Incident Overview
In a troubling incident in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, a 24-year-old man sustained injuries due to an explosion caused by a pressure bomb set by Naxalites on Tuesday. Police officials confirmed the details of the event.
This marks the second occurrence of such an incident in the district within the last 48 hours.
According to a police spokesperson, the explosion took place around 8 AM when Pramod Kakem was bathing near a reservoir close to the village of Gunjeparti in the Usur police station area. Kakem, a resident of the Ilmidi area, was visiting relatives in Gunjeparti.
Injury Details and Medical Response
Officials reported that Kakem inadvertently came into contact with the pressure bomb, triggering the explosion. As a result, he suffered injuries to his palms.
After receiving initial medical attention, he was transported to the community health center in Usur for further treatment.
Previous Incident
Police also noted that a similar incident occurred on Monday, where a 50-year-old man was injured while grazing cattle in the forest adjacent to Pujari Kanker village, also within the Usur police jurisdiction.
