BJP's Madan Rathore Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Irresponsible Statements

On Tuesday, Madan Rathore, the president of the Rajasthan unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of making baseless and irresponsible remarks regarding the Indian Army. This statement followed the Supreme Court's expressed dissatisfaction with Gandhi's comments related to the military during a Lok Sabha session.

Speaking to reporters, Rathore stated that the repeated reprimands from the Supreme Court indicate that Rahul Gandhi has consistently made factually incorrect, irresponsible, and anti-national statements, particularly concerning the Indian Army.

Rathore References Past Comments by Gandhi

Rathore recalled Gandhi's previous remarks following the surgical strike in 2016, questioning the army's actions by asking, 'How many were killed?', 'Where did it happen?', and 'What is the evidence?'. He questioned whether Gandhi had personally witnessed these events.

He further criticized Gandhi for his comments during the Galwan clash, where he suggested that the Indian Army was being defeated by the Chinese forces, calling it both surprising and shameful.

Historical Context of Territorial Disputes

Rathore also brought up the historical context of territorial disputes, stating that during Jawaharlal Nehru's tenure as Prime Minister in 1962, China had encroached upon Indian territory. He emphasized that despite the current strength of the Indian Army, Gandhi continues to claim that China has taken over 2000 square kilometers of land.
