Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri was released theatrically on August 1 2025. The film received strong word of mouth from critics and audiences with particular appreciation for its gripping narrative and strong portrayals. However despite positive reviews the film appears to be struggling at the box office. Dhadak 2 box office collection Day 5 After a lukewarm opening weekend the film minted Rs 1.60 crore (early estimates) on Tuesday taking films total 5-day collection to Rs 14.35 crore. On Tuesday 5 August Dhadak 2 recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 29.22%. It registered 13.70% for morning shows which improved to 28.60% in the afternoon and recorded 32.07% in the evening. Bankrolled by Karan Johars Dharma productions the film struggled to gain momentum through the weekend and even passed to fail the Monday test. Dhadak 2 began its run with Rs 3.50 on Day 1 followed by Rs 3.75 and Rs 4.15 on Day 2 and Day respectively. City-wise too the films performance was decent. National Capital Region (NCR) was the top-performing region with 44.75% overall occupancy. Jaipur comes on the second spot with 40.00% followed by Chennai with 37.00% and then Bhopal with 35.75%. The films performance in cities like Pune Mumbai and Lucknow was a mixed bag posting average numbers at 30.25% 29.25% and 28.75% respectively. About Dhadak 2 Apart from Siddhant and Triptii the Shazia Iqbal directorial also features Zakir Hussain Saurabh Sachdeva Deeksha Joshi and Vipin Sharma in pivotal roles. A spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak it explores the themes of inter-caste romance and the challenges encountered by individuals navigating societal norms. Dhadak 2 is facing a box office clash with Ajay Devgn’s comedy drama Son of Sardaar 2 and the previous releases Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara as well as the animated Mythological film Mahavatar Narsimha.
