In a significant boost for aspiring judicial officers from underrepresented communities, the Maharashtra government has launched a free 11-month coaching programme for the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) competitive examination, along with a scholarship of Rs 1.22 lakh per eligible candidate.

Programme Covers Prelims, Mains, and Interview

The scheme targets students from the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Matang community, Maratha, and Kunbi Maratha categories, offering structured guidance for prelims, mains, and interview rounds of the JMFC exam.

CET Applications Open Until August 20, 2025

The Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission into this coaching programme is currently open for online applications until August 20, 2025.

Eligibility Varies by Community and Agency

For SC and ST candidates (via BARTI, ARTI, TRTI), applicants must either hold an LLB degree or be in their final year of law school. ST applicants must also present a valid caste validity certificate.

For Maratha and Kunbi Maratha applicants (via SARTHI), only LLB graduates are eligible. The age limit is set at 21 to 38 years for Maratha and Kunbi Maratha students, and 21 to 40 years for SC and ST applicants.

Sankalp App Offers ₹1 CET Prep Batch

To make the application and preparation process more accessible, a dedicated CET prep batch has been launched on the Sankalp247 app at a nominal fee of Rs 1. Interested candidates can join the batch or request further information via this Google Form.
