In fact, the Employees Provident Fund Organization i.e. EPFO has issued a circular on 30 July along with changing its rules. This will apply to all employees associated with EPFO. Here, according to the new rule, it was told that, EPFO The process of generating UAN for all members associated with has changed. According to this, now it will be mandatory to generate your UAN through Aadhaar based face authentication. Also, it is necessary to be registered on the Umang app, it has been made mandatory. Let me tell you, EPFO has still approved the old way of generating an universal account by the employee for international employees like EPFO. According to the new rule, all new UAN Aadhaar will be generated only through AADHAAR face authentication. Its process will be completed only through all the Umang apps.

New changes will benefit

Here the employees will benefit from this new change of EPFO. If you have a Umang app, then the process of generating UAN through mobile can be completed. The advantage of this will be that the UAN will be able to download its digital copy after being generated and activated. Apart from this, when you go for a job, you can also share a copy with the employer.

• After installing the app, first open the UMANG app.
• Now you have to go to the option of UAN Allotment and Activation.
• Through this option, you will also be able to activate your old UAN number.
• Now you have to enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number in the next step.
• Now an OTP will be sent to your registered number. Verify it by filling it.
• Now you have to scan your face for the next step face authentication.
• If you have not already maintained UAN, then the new UAN will be generated and you will also get SMS.

• For this, you have to go to the option of UAN Activation.
• Now you have to complete the process of verification by filling your UAN number, mobile number.
• In the next step you have to scan your face with the face RD app.
• If everything is correct, then a temporary password and SMS will be sent to your mobile number.
• You can change your password by logging in UAN.
