However the actor declined the portrayal of Raj Malhotra and it went on to Shah Rukh Khan which solidified his legacy as Indias ultimate romantic hero. DDLJ has become the longest-running film in Indian cinemas history. It continues to run in theatres for 30 years specifically at Mumbais Maratha Mandir cinema since its release on October 20 1995. Ghajini Salman Khan was first approached for the lead role in blockbuster film Ghajini. According to reports he wasnt happy with the script and turned down the offer. The role then went to Aamir Khan who gave a tremendous performance and shattered all box office records.
