Instagram New Features 2025: Instagram Has launched three new features for its users who promise to make digital engagement with friends more fun and safe than ever. These features include repost features, new location maps and ‘Friends’ tabs. According to Meta, these updates are designed to provide better social interactions and a personal experience to users.
Now you will be able to repost on Instagram
Instagram has now allowed users to repost any public reel or post. Through this feature, you can share your favorite reel or post with your followers. The content reposted will be saved in a separate tab of your profile, whose credit will be given to the original creator, so that it can be easily seen easily.
New Location Map: Sharing the location is now completely under your control
Instagram has introduced a new location map so that users can share their location with select friends.
Instagram chief Adam Moseri said: “Your location will be shared only when you want. It can only be shared with your chosen people.”
The location can be shared in three ways:
-
Custom list made by itself
-
Close Friends List
-
Followers you follow
In addition, a monitoring feature has also been added to the parents to see with whom their teenagers are sharing the location.
Friends Tab: Know the choice of friends
A new ‘Friends’ tab added to the Reel section of Instagram will now show users what public material his friends have interacted with, which will make it easier to start negotiations and answer suggestions.
META said: “Users can now decide whether they want to show their likes and comments in Friends Tab, and can also muted activity bubbles for a particular person.”
Note
Through these new features, Instagram is not only strengthening social connectivity, but is also giving top priority to privacy and personal control. With new updates, the user experience is now going to be even more personal, secure and interactive.
