Former India skipper Virat Kohli has resumed training in London as he gears up for his return to one-day international cricket, sharing pictures from an indoor session with Gujarat Titans’ assistant coach Naeem Amin on Friday. Kohli looked in excellent spirits and form during the workout, sporting a grey t-shirt and blue shorts while honing his batting skills ahead of his highly anticipated comeback.
"Thanks for helping out with the hit, brother. Always lovely to see you," Kohli wrote on his Instagram story, alongside a snapshot from the training.
"Good to see you brother! See you soon," Naeem responded on Instagram.
The star batter is set to rejoin Team India for the ODI series in Australia, scheduled from October 19 to 25. His comeback was earlier planned for an August series against Bangladesh, which was later postponed.
Kohli last featured in competitive cricket in June, during the IPL 2025 final, where his 43-run knock helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru secure their maiden IPL title against Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad.
With 14,181 ODI runs and a record 51 centuries, Kohli remains one of the format’s all-time greats. In the last ODI World Cup, he rewrote history by scoring 765 runs, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s long-standing record.
