Government Jobs: There is good news for the youth waiting for the opportunity to teach in higher educational institutions in Bihar. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the start of the application process for the recruitment of 539 Assistant Professors of various subjects in the colleges run under the Department of Science, Technology, and Technical Education.

According to the information provided by BPSC, the recruitment of Assistant Professors is to be done for the government engineering colleges of the state. Eligible candidates can apply for the recruitment process from 18 August.

BPSC has invited applications for recruitment to 539 vacant assistant posts of various subjects in the government engineering colleges of the state. The application process is completely online. 35 percent reservation for women, maximum age limit 30 years
BPSC had already issued an advertisement for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in Government Engineering Colleges. According to this advertisement, the maximum age limit for recruitment to these posts has been fixed at 30 years. The age limit will be calculated as of August 1, 2025.

At the same time, BPSC has clarified in the advertisement issued that a 35 percent reservation will be given to women candidates for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professors. That is, 35 percent of the posts are reserved for women candidates. However, BPSC has also clarified that the benefit of reservation will be given only to the natives of Bihar.

How will the selection be done, and how much salary will be given
The selection criteria for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in Government Engineering Colleges of Bihar are fixed. That is, the selection for the posts of Assistant Professors will be done under the weightage scheme. A weightage scheme of 100 marks has been prepared. In this, different marks have been fixed for research paper, seminar presentation, and PhD guidance.

If we talk about the salary that the candidates will get after getting recruited on these posts, then it will start from Rs 1,31,400 per month. Their grade pay will be 13A1.
