Alia Bhatt breathed life into the role of Gangubai earning widespread acclaim for her stellar performance. According to Bollywood Hungama Gangubai Kathiawadi grossed Rs 129.10 crore in India and ₹209.77 crore worldwide. Alia Bhatt won the National Award for Best Actress for Gangubai Kathiawadi.
