Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Rajat Patidar recently encountered an incident which involved some cricket fans in Chhattisgarh and the local police. Although the police were involved the situation wasn’t as serious as it might seem. The incident revolves around Patidars old mobile number which the telecom provider deactivated after it was inactive for more than ninety days. The number was then reassigned to a boy named Manish from Gariaband district in Chhattisgarh sparking a series of amusing events. WhatsApp loaded Patidars photo as the profile picture after the mobile number was activated. Manish and his friend Khemraj ignored it but they had just made it onto the Indian cricketing communitys VIP contact list. Manish’s phone began ringing with calls from cricket legends. According to reports even Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers reached out to the number. Manish and Khemraj found it amusing until Patidar himself called to clarify the situation. Bhai I’m Rajat Patidar. That number is mine please return it the cricketer as per NDTV said on the call. What followed was even more humorous. Manish and Khemraj responded that they didnt think Patidar was on the line and replied “And we’re MS Dhoni. Patidar forced to involve Police Patidar had to explain everything saying that the number was important because it allowed him to communicate with his friends coaches and other people. But neither of them was convinced. The captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore then issued a warning saying “Okay I’ll send the cops. Within ten minutes the local police arrived at Manishs house and he realized that the incident was serious. They never had the idea but they eventually spoke with AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli. “I got to speak to Kohli because of a wrong number. My life’s goal is complete Khemraj was quoted as saying. Without hesitation both friends gave the SIM card back.
