Mahavatar Narsimha Box Office Collection: If the success of Ahaan Panday’s Saiyaara surprised the industry, Mahavatar Narsimha has really taken it by surprise. The animated epic has swept into theaters, demonstrating that Indian viewers are overwhelmingly drawn to films with the proper subject. Raksha Bandhan festivities are driving the movie’s box office success as it enters its 17th day of release.

Mahavatar Narsimha, which is being produced by Kleem Productions and Hombale Films, is enthralling audiences and establishing new standards. The movie is one of the greatest hits of the year, and the reaction is unheard of. It easily surpassed the Rs 100 crore milestone after recording a record-breaking Hindi collection of Rs 17.41 crore on its third Sunday, bringing its total Hindi revenues to Rs 121.55 crore. The Raksha Bandhan weekend, which attracted a large family audience to theaters, helped boost the movie’s box office performance.

The movie is doing well overseas as well, rapidly approaching the Rs 200 crore milestone. There are no indications that the blockbuster run will slow down as people keep going to the movies.

Mahavatar Narsimha, according to director Ashwin Kumar, is not a religious movie

Kumar told NDTV that the movie’s appeal extends beyond its Hindu legendary origins. People from a variety of backgrounds, including many Muslims, have approached me to share how the movie deepened their religion. I’m not advocating for you to change your faith. I’m trying to suggest that you know what faith is. “This film merely asks you to surrender to that faith,” he stated, regardless of whether you believe in energy, God, or the cosmos.

The filmmaker emphasized that the target audience for Mahavatar Narsimha is not exclusively religious. “This movie isn’t religious. It’s a faith-based interfaith movie. Love is a universal feeling because of this. Faith is the same. As a result, the movie is expanding rapidly,” Kumar said.

What is Mahavatar Narsimha’s story?

The narrative centers on the mythical tale of Hiranyakashyap, a merciless monarch who receives a blessing from Lord Brahma that gives him almost unstoppable power. He relentlessly tortures his own son, Prahlada, who is a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu, because he is blinded by power. Vishnu defeats the tyrant by taking on the ferocious guise of Narsimha, a half-lion, half-man avatar, in order to save the kid and bring about equilibrium.

The ambitious Mahavatar series, which aims to document all 10 of Lord Vishnu’s heavenly incarnations in a magnificent cinematic journey, begins with Mahavatar Narsimha.

The ambitious film schedule for Mahavatar

For this ten-year animated series that follows the lives of Lord Vishnu, Hombale Films and Kleem Productions have big plans: Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dwarkadhish (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), Mahavatar Kalki Part 1 (2035), Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 (2037), and Mahavatar Narsimha (2025).

On July 25, 2025, Mahavatar Narsimha, which was directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai, was released in three dimensions and five Indian languages.
