PTC Web Desk: During the ongoing Parliament Monsoon Session, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, along with senior opposition leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Sharad Pawar, led a march from Parliament House to the Election Commission of India headquarters on Monday. The protest was organised by the INDIA bloc against the voter list revision in Bihar.
The march was halted by the police at Transport Bhawan, where several MPs were detained. In a dramatic moment, TMC MP Mitali Bagh fainted during the protest. Rahul Gandhi and other MPs rushed to assist her before the police took the leaders into custody.
The opposition protest marks a significant escalation in the INDIA bloc’s campaign against alleged irregularities in the Bihar electoral roll.
