Karnataka minister KN Rajanna Resigns after Voter List Controversy; Congress faces internal crisis

Bengalur: Karnataka’s Politics Witnessed A Major Political Upheaval on Monday when State Cooperation Minister KN Rajanna Resigned From His Post. He took this step when he made allegations of irregularities in the voter list during the tenure of the Congress government from a public platform. After this controversial statement, he submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Rajanna, who was considered close to the Chief Minister, Had Been Vocal on the issue of irregularities in the voter list for some time. He questioned why the Congress party remained silnt when there was manipulation in the Voter list. The party considered it as indiscipline and decided to remove Him from the cabinet.

In this case, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar Rejected Rajanna’s Allegations and Said That All these Allegations are basles and an attempt by the option to tarnish the party’s image. Rajanna Told The Media That “These irregularities happy in front of our eyes, and we should be asshaamed that we could not stop it.”

This was not the first time that Rajanna has made controversial statements. Earlier, He Had Sugged The Creation of an additional Deputy Minister’s post in the state, which could weaken the position of the current deputy CM Shivakumar. He had also said that if siddaramaiah is removed in the future, a leader from the dalit community should be made the Chief Minister.
