Onion Kachori: Make restaurant-like onion kachori at home

Pyaaz ki Kachori is a popular street food of North India, which can be prepared at home with restaurant-like taste. Its light crispy crust and spicy onion filling makes it special.

🧂 Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • Refined flour – 2 cups
  • Ghee/oil – 4 tbsp
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Water – as per need

for the stuffing:

  • Onion – 3 medium (finely chopped)
  • Green chillies – 2
  • Ginger – 1 teaspoon
  • Fennel, coriander powder, red chilli, dry mango powder, garam masala – all spices in balanced quantities
  • Oil- 2 tbsp
  • Salt – as per taste

  1. Mix salt and ghee in flour and knead a hard dough, keep it covered for 20 minutes.
  2. For the filling, heat oil, add fennel, green chillies, onion and remaining spices and fry.
  3. Fill the dough ball with the stuffing, give it a round shape and roll it.
  4. Fry on low flame till it becomes golden and crispy.
  5. Serve hot with green or tamarind chutney.
