Nissan Motor India today launched a 10Year Extended Warranty Plan for the New Nissan Magnite. This plan was announced immediately after the Nissan Magnite scored a 5star rating on overall passenger safety with a 5star rating on AOP (Adult Occupant Safety).

Nissan Magnite warranty explained

The plan offers 3 years of standard warranty, extendable through flexible plans of up to a 10Year Extended Warranty Plan applicable for up to 10 years/2 lakh kms at a price of 22 paise/Km or Rs 12 per day.

Nissan’s 10Year Extended Warranty offers cashless repairs across the country at any Nissanauthorized service workshops, with no limit on the number or value of claims. Additionally, the Extended Warranty Plan can be financed through Nissan Finance along with the purchase of a new vehicle.

Eligibility and conditions

The 10Year Extended Warranty Plan is available only for privately owned New Nissan Magnite vehicles under the following terms and conditions:

• Customers can select from a variety of Extended Warranty Plans, including options for 3+7, 3+4, 3+3, 3+3 and 3+1 years
• The 10year Extended Warranty Plan is available only for vehicles with a 3year standard warranty, starting with the New Nissan Magnite onwards
• Any New Nissan Magnite customer within the standard warranty period who has not previously opted for an Extended Warranty Plan can choose to purchase the 10year Extended Warranty Plan 
• The 10year extended warranty will not be available for the previous version of the Nissan Magnite with a 2year standard warranty sold prior to October 2024
• New Nissan Magnite vehicles must be within the standard warranty coverage at the time of purchase of the plan, there is no other eligibility criteria
• Extended warranty coverage extends up to 7 years post the standard warranty, ensuring protection against all mechanical and electrical failures or defects as per the terms and conditions
• The Extended Warranty Plan offers engine and transmission coverage for the 8th, 9th, and 10th years, providing longterm peace of mind for customers
• Customers also have the option to buy it during the vehicle’s normal lifecycle, from any authorized dealer, before the expiration of the standard OEM warranty
• The coverage under the extended warranty will commence immediately once the standard OEM warranty expires

All purchases of the 10Year Extended Warranty Plan will be through authorised Nissan dealers only.

The New Nissan Magnite was recently awarded a 5star Overall Passenger Safety rating from Global NCAP, making it one of the safest SUVs in India and South Africa. Built on the CMFA+ platform, the Nissan Magnite, launched in October 2024, gets over 40 standard safety features, including 6 airbags, improved body structure incorporating 67% high tensile strength steel, ABS + EBD, ESC, TCS, HSA, Brake Assist, TPMS, among others.
