The standard Magnite warranty covers 3 years or 1 lakh kilometres. The new plan stretches that limit to 10 years or 2 lakh kilometres, costing about 22 paise per kilometre (around Rs 12 per day).

Buyers can choose from several combinations — 3+1, 3+2, 3+3, 3+4, or the 3+7-year plan — depending on how long they intend to keep the car. For the first seven years, most components are covered; in the final three years, the focus shifts to the engine and transmission, the costliest parts to repair or replace in an ageing vehicle.

"This initiative gives customers the freedom to enjoy their New Nissan Magnite without compromise, backed by Nissan’s proven quality, engineering and service excellence. We want our customers to focus on creating memorable journeys with the new Nissan Magnite, while we take care of the rest," said Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India.

    Who are eligible?

The offer applies only to privately owned New Nissan Magnite models bought from October 2024 onwards, which come with a 3-year standard warranty. Owners who skip the extended warranty at purchase can still opt in later, provided their vehicle is still under the standard coverage period.

The plan is not available for earlier Magnite versions sold before October 2024, which carried a 2-year standard warranty. Coverage starts immediately once the original warranty ends, and purchases must be made through authorised Nissan dealers.

    Buying and Financing

The warranty can be purchased at the time of buying the vehicle or later during its standard warranty period. It can also be financed along with the car through Nissan Finance, allowing buyers to fold the cost into their existing loan.

By pairing the offer with the Magnite’s crash-test results, Nissan appears to be appealing to customers who want both safety credentials and long-term protection in a single package.
