COOCK Tips: Make asafetida potatoes in lunch or dinner, people will become fans

No one wants to stand for a long time in the kitchen in so much heat. Therefore, asafoetida potatoes are ready in just 15-20 minutes and their taste is so wonderful that everyone will not be able to live without praising. Come, know without delay, easy to make them.

Material :

  • Boiled Potatoes: 4-5
  • Tomato: 2 (Finely chopped or puree)
  • Green Chilli: 2 (Finely chopped)
  • Ginger: 1 inch (grated)
  • Cumin: 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida: Half a teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder: half a teaspoon
  • Red chili powder: 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder: 1 tsp
  • Garam masala: half a teaspoon
  • Kasuri Methi: 1 teaspoon (for taste)
  • Oil or Ghee: 2 tablespoons
  • Salt: as per taste
  • Green Coriander: For Garnishing

Method :

  • First, peel the boiled potatoes and cut it into medium shape pieces.
  • After this, heat oil or ghee in a pan. When the oil is hot, add cumin and asafoetida to it.
  • As the fragrance of asafoetida comes, add green chili and grated ginger and fry it lightly.
  • Now add chopped tomatoes or tomato puree. Cook the tomatoes until it softens and the oil starts separating.
  • Next, add turmeric, red chili and coriander powder and mix well.
  • Then fry the spices on low flame for 1-2 minutes so that rawness comes out.
  • Now add chopped potatoes and mix well with spices. Add salt and fry for 2-3 minutes so that the taste of the spices in the potatoes sits well.
  • If you like gravy vegetables, add some water to it and let it boil. If you want to make dry vegetables, do not add water.
  • Now add garam masala and kasuri fenugreek and mix well. Turn off the gas after cooking for 1-2 minutes.
  • Garnish by adding finely chopped coriander over above.
  • Asafoetida potatoes look very tasty with paranthas, puri, roti or rice.
