16 August 2025 (Saturday) – On this day, banks will remain closed in several states due to Janmashtami/Krishna Janmashtami celebrations. States observing the holiday include Gujarat, Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Telangana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Srinagar, and Andhra Pradesh.
17 August 2025 (Sunday) – All banks across the country will be closed for the regular weekly holiday.
States Where Banks Will Remain Open on August 16Although Janmashtami will be observed in many regions, August 16 is a working Saturday in several states. Banks will remain open in Tripura, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Odisha, Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala, Nagaland, West Bengal, Delhi, Goa, and Himachal Pradesh.
