
Reading Habit Grace Marks: Be it youth or children, the habit of reading is disappearing among people of all age groups. The Kerala government is going to start a wonderful initiative to develop the habit of reading books in children. Children studying in government schools of the state will get grace marks for reading books. This information was given by Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty on Wednesday. This initiative will be implemented next year.
Education Minister V Sivankutty said in a Facebook post that a fixed time will be set for reading books, newspapers, and related activities. He said that in the next academic session, grace marks will be given to those children who participate in activities that promote the habit of reading.
Scheme for children from class 1 to 12
Education Minister V Sivankutty said that the weekly sessions for students from classes one to four will focus on appropriate reading activities. While for students from classes 5 to 12th, newspaper reading and other follow-up exercises will be added.
Teachers will be given training.
He said that for this, teachers will also be given training, and a booklet will also be prepared to guide reading-related activities.
